HISTORY
Anakis grew up on the streets of Neverwinter, an orphan and an outcast. She was taken in by Regan, the head of an up and coming thieve's guild called the Cannon Ring. As she grew up, Anakis learned the ways of the rogue, climbing through the ranks of the Cannon Ring until she was one of Regan's top lieutenants. Ambitious to a fault, Anakis came up with the idea of expanding the Cannon Ring's territory and setting up a foothold in the town of Phandalin, so she took a job to escort a wagon train to the town.

Anakis ended up partnered with a patchwork group of adventurers: Kaisa, the vengeance paladin who was a bard in another life; Kriv, the white dragonborn ranger with a bloody family history; Rai, the mysterious eladrin monk with visions of the future. And of course, one can't forget Izzy, the goblin who was won to their cause when plied with apples and has become quite a loyal knight. Together they killed the Black Spider-- Anakis doing the dirty deed herself with one of her trusty daggers-- but they were also responsible for unleashing a powerful demon upon the town of Phandalin. They were saved at the last minute by the interference of members of the legendary adventuring group, the Code.
Thoroughly shaken, the party returns to Neverwinter in search of answers. In the midst of a mission to find out more about the Code, Kriv is kidnapped by members of the Cannon Ring. "Regan sends her regards," they tell Anakis before slipping away into the night. Anakis and her friends made their way to the Cannon Ring headquarters, where Regan chastised her for her failures in Phandalin, and for her disobedience in galavanting off with a new group when she had sworn loyalty to Regan and her interests. Anakis, knowing that she had to make a choice between her old loyalties and her new friends, challenged Regan for the position of leader of the Cannon Ring. Together with Rai and Kaisa, Anakis completed all the trials, and nearly bested Regan in combat, before the other Rogue disappeared suddenly. With no opponent to defeat, Anakis was declared the default winner, and named head of the Cannon Ring.
The party then separated, spending six months on their own. During that time, Anakis solidified her place within the Cannon Ring, developing her contacts and learning more magic spells to aid her in her thievery. After half a year, the party was each summoned to a conference of leaders of various factions in Waterdeep, to discuss a newly encroaching threat: the Cult of Dragons is attempting to raise Tiamat. The party is tasked with tracking down the Drake Horn before the Cult of Dragons can use it to unite dragon kind to their cause. They head north, to the frozen seas, where there was last seen an expert on the Drake Horn. Before they can find her, however, they are kidnapped by the Code themselves, who warn them of an inevitable apocalypse coming their way, and put them through some trials once more to prove their worthiness to face down this world-ending threat.
PERSONALITY
Anakis is slow to trust, always keeping her own confidence. She has a tendency to sneak off on her own rather than involve her comrades in her shady dealings. She is ambitious to a fault, but practical minded and not prone to flights of fancy. She has a sarcastic streak a mile long.
